The Future of Work: Leading Your Association in a World of Change and Uncertainty

In a fast-moving and continuously evolving world of work, leaders must evolve at the speed of the market to deliver value to their members, volunteers, boards, and industries. But the past two years have taught us that using tried and true best practices are no longer enough. In order to evolve and lead in the next normal, you need to think and work differently and combine the use of technology and human potential to achieve desired outcomes.

But how do association trailblazers lead the way, adopt new mindsets and practices for this future of work,  and use technology to inspire their members, volunteers and partners in a complex world of work?

During this session, we’ll explore the key steps innovative and future-ready leaders can take to stay ahead of the curve, along with the mindset and tactical practices they can use to inspire change and action with their people.

Program Kickoff – Remain Relevant by Becoming a Digital Leader, with Sherry Budziak

Technology has also enabled new business models, driving strategy and promoting more agile ways of working.

Organizations are being pushed to embrace the latest technological advances to remain competitive as members demand better digital experiences. For association leaders, emerging technologies make greater innovation possible, but they also present real challenges.

As an association leader, how do you build tech fluency and how should you prioritize different emerging technologies to meet the future needs of your association?

.orgSource CEO Sherry Budziak will discuss how to become a digital leader by promoting a customer-centric mindset and how to get the right talent and teams to drive your digital agendas.

Connecting Membership Dollars to Outcomes with Kim Sorin, Director of Sales Marketing & Partnerships, Aura Innovative Technology and Pete Bradley, Associate Director of IT, American College of Surgeons

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) has 50 chapters across the United States serving the critical role of delivering membership value and affecting social impact at a local level. Like many associations, their unique membership model and processes around dues collection coupled with disparate systems both within the National Office and across each chapter, created a hairball of operational inefficiencies and questionable accuracy of data. ACS found themselves unable to derive the level of robust reporting necessary to connect membership dollars to outcomes in the community and properly support chapter efforts to deliver and communicate value at the local level.

Join us to learn how Pete Bradley and the IT team at ACS took an innovative approach to tackling this challenge by moving to a cloud-based ERP Platform acting as a unified platform and single source of truth for all stakeholders including National and Chapter Staff, Executive Leadership and even members themselves. Equipped with the tools to effectively connect membership dollars to organizational outcomes, ACS can drive revenue and increase member engagement by showcasing the importance of each dollar as they look to showcase the true value of association membership.
