John Whelan joined HIMSS as Executive Vice President of HIMSS Media a little over three years ago. With over 20 years’ experience managing media businesses and positioning them for growth, John has successfully driven digital change through various organizations facing challenges and opportunities similar to those faced by Associations today. Prior to joining HIMSS he held senior management and business development roles at Summit Business Media, Wicks Business Information, Source Media (formerly Thomson Financial) and Oxford University Press in the UK.
