Entrepreneurs love solving the thorny problems that cause the rest of us to tear our hair out. They welcome disruption and use it to grow business. They change color as easily as chameleons and confront risk with the cool of derivative traders. As a follow up to their Association 4.0: Positioning for Success in an Era of Disruption, Sherry and Kevin interviewed entrepreneurs who service the association industry. Hear what they learned from these leaders and how you can apply these leadership traits in your organization.

9:20 a.m.            Keynote: You CAN Innovate! - Joey Knecht, Buyer Enablement Expert,

Author of “Innovate or Die”, Joey Knecht, knows that software innovation isn’t just a buzz phrase, it’s the key to survival. Picture masses of tiny drones swarming together to take down larger, lumbering enemy vehicles. This is not a scene from the movies, rather today’s reality. A lesson not to be missed by leaders regarding how quickly a group of five or fifteen or twenty, smart people in a one room office can take down an entire industry.

Enter Joseph Knecht, and the lessons and strategies he shares from his vantage point inside the trenches of daily business. As a time-tested entrepreneur and investor in multiple companies, Joseph masterfully captures audiences by disrupting the overused and complacent definition of innovation and leading them to discover his success-driven path to save their businesses from the impending threat of competitors. Audiences walk away inspired and armed with a tool set to preserve their companies or to be the disruptor in their industries.

Inside of every association, there's a dormant volcano of intrapreneurs waiting to be activated, waiting to disrupt the status quo, waiting to create an innovation inflection point. But they often keep their heads down, follow the formula, and try not to make too many waves. In this talk, Greg Larkin brings us into the room where bold intrapreneurs refuse to slow down and defer their dreams. He shares stories from Google, PwC, and Bloomberg where a new generation of leaders find their voice, build community, and create an exponential inflection point for their company, their market and themselves.

3:15 p.m.            Rapid Fire Questions - Ask the Innovators - Facilitated by Greg Fine, CEO at CCIM Institute

Our partners identified a challenge and had a dream or a vision of how, from that vacuum, they could create opportunity. Sometimes what took shape strayed far from the original inspiration. There were false starts, failures and financial losses. But whether they are celebrating with champagne or piecing together a broken business plan, these entrepreneurs were learning, growing and striving to bring innovation to market. Their stories offer examples for leaders who want to be example. Questions will be gathered during the day for us to ask them the toughest questions.
